WELCOME TO LEGACY-ADULT MINISTRIES
In Psalm 71:18, the Psalmist writes, "And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come" (NAS). I.M.P.A.C.T. is a vital part of Kingdom growth in our church family for adults in later stages of life (ages 50+), whether they are still working or are retired because we actively participate in discipleship, ministry, and mentorship by serving in many different capacities in the body of Christ as God allows and equips us. In order to impact the world through the transforming power of the love of Jesus Christ, the Bible instructs all Christians to show maturity in six different areas: Imitating Christ, Mobilizing for Ministry, Participating in Service, Adoring the Savior, Communicating the Gospel, and Teaching the Word.
BIBLE STUDIES
Each week we have several opportunities to meet for Bible study. On Sundays, we have several Connect Classes which meet at 9:30am. We also meet the First Tuesday of every month for "First Tuesday Fellowship" beginning at 11:30am followed by lunch served at Noon. On occasion FTF will sometimes go on an outing. Every Wednesday, Adult Bible Studies begins at 6:30pm. For details and locations please e-mail info@fbcfw.org for more information.
ACTIVITIES
We are an active group of legacy-building adults who serve in both the church and the community. We have weekly opportunities to engage in intercessory prayer, evangelism, ministry to shut-ins and nursing homes, and distribution of food at the church food pantry. In addition to opportunities for service, we have several opportunities to fellowship with one another: touring local venues, taking day trips to historical and scenic sites, multi-day trips within the U.S. and internationally, talent shows, hymn sings, and a Legacy Retreat. For more information on activities, contact Mike Neal.
